The fact is that every institution has an ideology it is not just the terrorists who have one
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Ayesha Siddiqa’s article of January 1 titled “Win the war not just the battle”.
I wish the writer had defined “war” and “battle” first. The fact is that every institution has an ideology it is not just the terrorists who have one.
If the general public is asked at a time when no terror-related incidents have happened whom they would prefer, they will probably say the civil leadership, because they will expect it to address their everyday problems such as education, health, employment, etc. And if the same question is asked during a time when several acts of terrorism have taken place, the people will probably look towards the police and security forces, because they will feel that these institutions can do the job in the best manner possible.
