Will someone please explain what will happen?
KARACHI: This is with reference to a letter “Very expensive electricity” (November 24). I am now confused. The ministers for water and power and for ports and shipping have claimed that once the power plant on the Turkish ship docked at the Karachi coast is in operation, loadshedding will end in the city. Pepco, on the other hand, has said that its supply to Karachi will be reduced by the amount of power that the Turkish power ship will generate — in effect suggesting that loadshedding will carry on as usual. Will someone please explain what will happen?
