Domestic helpers often have to face issues like sexual harassment, delays in salary payment, racist comments
KARACHI: Violation of human rights is an issue of critical importance in our country. I have observed many times that people do not treat their domestic help the right way. Domestic helpers are often not given due respect and are instead taken to be inferior to us. This thinking is extremely wrong. We must consider our employees as our equals since they, just like us, are human beings.
Domestic helpers often have to face issues like sexual harassment, delays in salary payment, racist comments, etc. This must end. A country can only flourish if it gives importance to human rights issues. I request the authorities concerned to make effective laws that protect the rights of domestic workers.
