The entire summit proved to be fruitless and disappointing as no significant issue was addressed
KARACHI: The 18th Saarc summit held in Kathmandu was far below expectations. The summit leaders were supposed to settle the connectivity agreements on rail, road and energy but only one of them was signed. No major decisions on the issues of terrorism and economy were made either, which were actually presented as the main theme of this summit.
The entire summit proved to be fruitless and disappointing as no significant issue was addressed and now these serious problems will probably have to wait until the leaders meet again.
