Fundamentalism will keep on rising in Pakistan unless there is a rapid spread of modern ideas and rationalism
KARACHI: For the past few years, Pakistan has become the hub of rising fundamentalism. Extremist positions are making monsters out of normal people, who act on the basis of their misplaced beliefs.
Fundamentalism will keep on rising in Pakistan unless there is a rapid spread of modern ideas and rationalism. The government needs to start taking the situation more seriously. The effect of extremism is evident everywhere in our society: the increase in incidents of terrorism, religio-political parties spreading fundamentalism and change in the thinking of people, who once held a rational approach.
