Government must launch thorough search, from now onwards, of attacks in order to find real reason behind every attack
KARACHI: This is with reference to the recent terrorist attack that occurred at the Wagah border on November 2 whereupon the outlawed Jundallah and the TTP-affiliated Jamaatul Ahrar outfits claimed responsibility for it. The mind is stirred by some questions: why was that place chosen for the attack? Perhaps, this was in retaliation for something, if it is true as per their claim that it was the revenge for Operation Zarb-e-Azb? There have been many such attacks in the past, but none seem to have been investigated thoroughly. Nor have the culprits borne any repercussions for their inhumane acts. For the past many years, every government attempting to curb such terrorist attacks has failed entirely, due to the fact that these governments never probed each attack carefully in order to complete the prosecution and to dig out the cause. In this way, whenever any such attacks come about, some so-called ‘activist’ of any militant outfit begins to claim responsibility without indicating the cause of their concern and we, sadly speaking, in the wake of their proclamations, start believing such claims.
Therefore, the government must launch a thorough search, from now onwards, of attacks in order to find the real reason behind every attack. By doing so, the aftermath of any attack could also be probed and the arrangements for safeguarding people could be made beforehand.
