Performance evaluation of ministers

Letter October 29, 2014
It is expected that the prime minister will make it a priority to keep a check on the performance of his ministers

LAHORE: As reported, the prime minister has summoned a special cabinet meeting on October 31 and has issued a directive to all federal ministers and advisers to present their respective performance reports regarding the welfare and development work they have done so far. This is a positive step and is urgently required if the dream to make Pakistan a welfare state is to be met at the earliest.

Though it is the first step in this long, hard effort, it is expected that the prime minister will make it a priority to keep a check on the performance of his ministers. In this way, not only will governance become more effective, but the general public will also get maximum benefit out of it.
