Authorities concerned are requested to pay full attention to this problem and repair the roads in Gulistan-e-Jauhar
KARACHI: Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the poor condition of roads in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. For the last four months, it has been impossible for the residents of the area to cross roads. We have made several complaints, but they seem to have been neglected.
Roads here get flooded even after a slight rainfall because there is no effective drainage system. There are potholes in which cars often get stuck, while pedestrians also find it difficult to negotiate these roads. When it rains, these potholes get filled with water, which causes all sorts of diseases. Most of the roads in the area were repaired a few months ago, but have developed huge cracks again, which is dangerous for vehicles, especially at night. The dust rising from these cracks and potholes is causing pollution all around. The authorities concerned are requested to pay full attention to this problem and repair the roads in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
