Resolution in National Assembly

Letter October 27, 2014
It is hoped that government will continue harmonising all concerned political parties on issues of national interest

LAHORE: The National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning in unequivocal terms the unprovoked, indiscriminate and ill-timed ceasefire violations by the Indian security forces on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary. This appreciative display of solidarity by all the ruling and opposition parties once again reiterated that upholding national security and interest is the prime objective of every Pakistani political party, irrespective of its political affiliations and disagreements.

The resolution called upon the government to duly raise the issue at the international level so that the core issue of Kashmir between the neighbouring countries gets an international political priority to be resolved. It is hoped that the government will continue harmonising all concerned political parties on issues of national interest.
