Karachi blast (IV)

Letter November 13, 2010
The suicide bomber is already dead but what is done to uncover the network that plans and finances such attacks?

ISLAMABAD: Media reports now suggest that the police have recovered the chassis number of the pickup truck that was used in the bombing on the CID’s investigation wing office in Karachi. This was run as breaking news by many television channels but my question is, what good will this achieve?

Usually whenever there is a suicide bombing, the police and other investigating agencies claim with much fanfare that they have recovered the head or heads of the alleged suicide bomber or bombers. But what happens after that? The suicide bomber is already dead so what good does retrieval of his head do? What is done to uncover the network that plans and finances such attacks?
