People’s rights

Letter September 17, 2014
They have forced shutting federal government offices for last three weeks, denying basic rights of the common people.

RAWALPINDI: Gandhi launched a civil disobedience movement against a foreign power and immediately withdrew the movement on the occurrence of mob violence. On the other hand, our leaders of ‘dharnas’ have not withdrawn their movement in spite of the severe havoc wreaked on the people due to the monsoon floods and earlier due to rains in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa . Even the mobs of ‘dharnas’ indulged in violence openly in Islamabad. They have forced shutting the federal government offices for the last three weeks and denying the basic rights of the common people. Where are the claims of dharna leaders who are enjoying luxurious life while the common people are suffering and dying?
