The 2014 floods (III)

Letter September 09, 2014
All our existing dams are overflowing so floodwater goes directly to rivers, which causes damage to lands, overflows

KARACHI: Floods have caused disaster in many of the cities of Punjab. A huge area of the province has been affected and it is predicted that soon enough the same conditions will be seen in other provinces of Pakistan. The government’s response to this urgent matter has been extremely slow.

The reason for these floods is due to the lack of dams.

All our existing dams are overflowing so the floodwater goes directly to rivers, which causes damage to the lands and overflows the rivers.
