The root cause of the failure of the Sharifs is their tyrannical form of rule.
LAHORE: Article 14 of the Constitution ensures the protection of dignity of citizens while Article 15 guarantees their right to freedom of movement. Similarly, Articles 16 and 17 ensure that citizens have a right to assemble peacefully without bearing arms and form an association or union.
Watching people crawl under containers to cross the Ravi bridge is a clear violation of Articles 14 and 15, and is hence a crime committed by the Punjab government. After the failure of both the federal and Punjab governments to solve the problems faced by the common people, it is painful to see it further exacerbate their misery by such measures.
The root cause of the failure of the Sharifs is their tyrannical form of rule where they act like sultans and ignore the plight of the common man.
