National sentiment that would be seen in the past when PTV would air these ‘milli naghmay’ is hardly ever seen...
PARACHINAR: Like the national anthem a national song is a musical composition that recalls feelings and images of patriotism to those who listen to it. These songs often recall moments of a country’s history and traditions, allude to its physical attributes such as landscape, and take from stories of its struggles.
No doubt our national songs are among our greatest assets. However, the downside is that the national sentiment, zeal and fervour that would be seen in the past when PTV was the only channel and would air these ‘milli naghmay’ is hardly ever seen today.
