
I wonder what the CII and ulema — both of whom are vocal in opposing Muslim Family Laws— have to say about this.
LAHORE: This is with reference to a report according to which a ban has been placed in Saudi Arabia on men wishing to marry female citizens of Chad, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar. While it is the right of any sovereign state to make family laws regarding marriage of its citizens, what is being done in this particular cases seems discriminatory.
I wonder what the Council of Islamic Ideology and the ulema — both of whom are vocal in opposing Muslim Family Laws in Pakistan — have to say about this.
