Now that the culprit is identified it is the responsibility of the government to punish him. This hasn’t been done yet
KARACHI: It was for the first time in the history of Pakistan that news channels showed the perpetrator while covering the Model Town carnage, as perpetrators are usually identified as ‘unidentified persons’ or namaloom afrad. News channels showed that a person called Gullu Butt, who was caught on cameras, was vandalising vehicles during the police assault on the Minhajul Quran Secretariat.
I salute the independent news channels for doing a good job. However, now that the culprit is identified it is the responsibility of the government to punish him. This hasn’t been done yet.
