LAHORE: Sindh Assembly’s Deputy Speaker and PPP politician Shehla Raza has claimed that under one of the provisions of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), it had been agreed among the stakeholders that martial law would not be imposed in Pakistan for at least 15 years.
This fits in exactly with what was decided under the Charter of Democracy, which is that the PPP and the PML-N would take turns ruling the country after a general election. A more calculating woman than the late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was perhaps never born; she could have taught a thing or two to Machiavelli.
