NEW YORK: I had known Captain Nauman Shamsi since an early age and the news of the plane crash in Karachi on Nov 5 of a small plane carrying the employees of an Italian oil company and his demise is a huge shock for me. I pray for his soul to rest in peace and condole with his family. I would also hope to see a clean and timely inquiry into this matter and appropriate financial support for his family. The deceased can’t be brought back but the least that could be done is to offer their families the requisite financial support.
