All the utility companies are requested to make some amendments to the billing system to rectify the issue.
KARACHI: It is in the knowledge of every consumer that bank charges are included in every bill. The charges are payable to the bank by the company for availing a banking window for collection. In case a customer fails to pay the bill in any month, the total charges carry forward to the next month, and these include bank charges. When a subscriber pays the bill the next month, he ends up paying the banking charges twice, which is against consumer rights.
All the utility companies are requested to make some amendments to the billing system to rectify the issue.
