LAHORE: According to a report, Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to establish a joint working group on security to pose a joint front to the menace of terrorism impeding regional peace. It is heartening to know that both the neighbouring countries have decided in good faith to enhance cooperation, communication and coordination at multiple levels starting from leaders, intelligence agencies and security forces to formulate and practise a joint strategy for the permanent elimination of terrorism from the region.
Decisions taken during meetings of Afghan National Security Adviser with the prime minister, the army chief and other stakeholders in Pakistan, should be implemented fully and with sincerity from both sides so that something fruitful and productive comes out of all this.
