What is dead is the leadership that could guide and lead the leftists to bring about social change.
KARACHI: This is with reference Ayesha Siddiqa's article "Lack of an alternative"(31 October 2010). The Left is not dead. It can be seen and heard out in the streets and most of all is reflective in the agenda of all private channels. In fact, what is dead is the leadership that could guide and lead the leftists to bring about social change. The military's vision is based solely on guarding the state against all internal and external threats and keeping the country united. It is not its business to govern the country. The way I see it politics is good but it is a game that only rich people can play.
