Karachi Airport mayhem (III)

Letter June 09, 2014
I wonder how many more people will have to die before our government realises the futility of talking to terrorists.

ISLAMABAD: The attack on Karachi Airport should be an eye-opener for every Pakistani who thinks that the state should be talking to the Taliban. The tragic fact is that soon everything will be forgotten, that is, till the next attack. The government seems to be in deep slumber with the interior minister always insisting that there is still room for talks with these terrorists. I wonder how many more people will have to die and how many soldiers will be martyred before our government realises the futility of talking to the terrorists. What we need now is determined action to take on the Taliban once and for all.
