No proof of perceived corruption (II)

Letter November 02, 2010
It is quite unfortunate that in spite of having substantial proof, nothing is being done.

KARACHI: The response of our authorities to those accused of being corrupt is one of indifference. It is quite unfortunate that in spite of having substantial proof, nothing is being done. We need to realise that we are living in a country where corruption is ingrained from the grassroots level. Chances are slim to none that one will be able to prove corruption in any government department. Questioning and challenging authorities is another matter altogether.

Accountability is the need of the hour.
