Dialogue or action?

Letter May 27, 2014
Both the civilian and military leaderships do not seem to be on the same page.

QUETTA: The political establishment has initiated a dialogue process with the Taliban while the military seems to have begun an operation intended to take action against terrorists who attack security personnel. However, these two parallel processes cannot bear satisfying results. The dialogue process seems to be a failure.

Both the civilian and military leaderships do not seem to be on the same page. Besides this, the federal government has scheduled the dialogue process for the short-term rather than the long-term. How can Pakistan, which has been plagued by terrorists for whole decades, secure peace and stability within weeks or month?
