World businessmen who are Pakistani are more than happy to invest in UAE because of Pakistan's security crisis.
HYDERABAD: It is beyond doubt that Pakistan is the most polarised country today. It faces a myriad of problems in the form of political turmoil, media mishaps, unprecedented corruption, weak economy and fragile institutions. One of the key answers to all our problems is that our leaders lack far-sightedness; they are completely occupied by challenges of the past and petty issues of the present.
But despite being polarised, Pakistan is not a failed state, but a very resilient one. It has a bright future ahead. We have before us the great example of Dubai, rightly called the ‘Land of Opportunities’, which, owing to some great leadership was turned into a land of miracles. Top businessmen of the world who are Pakistani are more than happy to invest in the UAE because of a security crisis in Pakistan and this state of affairs actually ends up benefiting the UAE leaders. At the same time, my heart sinks when I see people from our desert regions like Tharparkar and Thal in Pakistan suffer so much due to the flawed policies of politicians and bureaucrats.
