Talented students are lagging behind, lazy ones are passing with flying colours as teachers encourage this practice.
AWARAN: It has been observed that teachers in this part of the country encourage their students to memorise lessons instead of encouraging them to understand them.
Students collect notes for the entire semester and simply stay up one night before exams to memorise the answers to expected questions before the exam day. Talented students are lagging behind and the lazy ones are passing with flying colours as teachers are seen to encourage this practice.
It is very rarely that teachers complete the course outline; mostly, they just teach their students a few answers to expected questions and wash their hands off the whole business. It would not be wrong to suggest that the teaching method of Pakistani institutions is deplorable and directly adds to the intellectual deficit this country has been facing as a whole.
