Travellers will now pay under the table for certificates without getting vaccinated.
KARACHI: This is with reference to your editorial “Phony polio figures” (May 19). By now, we all know that citizens leaving the country are to be handed polio certificates and those not vaccinated are to be administered polio drops. But knowing the rampant corruption in the provincial governments, in all likelihood, the vaccines will either be fake or past their expiry dates. Travellers will now pay under the table for certificates without getting vaccinated. The authorities should take the necessary steps to fill in these gaps.
