ISLAMABAD: Faheem Yunus’s article “Why this public obsession with religion?” (October 30) is an excellent article on a popular subject. We love to wear our religion on our sleeve as a badge. It makes us feel righteous and works towards filling the mental vacuum caused by a degenerating society with weak moral values. This is a false sense of superiority. The ‘righteous’ are now bent on making good Muslims out of those who they perceive are not.
