The government pays no attention to the possibility of negotiation with the Baloch who are angry.
SOHBATPUR, BALOCHISTAN: Unfortunately, with every passing day, Balochistan is heading towards backwardness and decadence. The authorities of the province are collecting funds in the name of development but these funds are doing nothing apart from improving their bank balances.
The Balochistan government, in its many passionate pledges, has promised to improve the law and order situation in the province, recover missing persons, educate all Baloch children, eliminate unemployment, implement merit, eliminate bribery, provide poor workers’ rights, negotiate with Baloch separatists, complete all development projects and limit government spending. But when the opportunity came, they remained paralysed. Today, one year later, they have not taken a single step to improve the law and order situation. Bombings, kidnappings and targeted killings happen on almost a daily basis. Today, nothing is possible without bribery in the province. Ministers have full control over departments. The condition of the employed class is the same as it was a year earlier.
And it doesn’t end there: the government pays no attention to the possibility of negotiation with the Baloch who are angry. Moreover, in the name of development projects, the ministers are busy hiring their own relatives and friends.
In the light of this incompetence and inefficiency, one may safely say this government is worse than the previous one.
