After reading the column , I was disappointed & wondered as to how a political leader can operate like a businessman?
LAHORE: This is in response to Shahzad Chaudhry’s article titled “Double or quits” (May 3) in which he wanted Nawaz Sharif to have invested his political capital after winning the 2013 general elections the same way as American multi-billionaire Warren Buffet makes investments in financial markets. This parallel was completely inaccurate. I have always admired Mr Chaudhry for his journalistic contributions but after reading this column published in this newspaper on May 3, I was disappointed and wondered as to how a political leader can operate like a businessman?
A businessman has to work only to maximise his profit, whereas a political leader has to operate completely differently because he has to handle more complex problems and keep the national landscape in mind.
