I urge town municipal authorities to initiate a special drive to eliminate the danger caused by stray dogs.
KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of the higher authorities to the serious issue of stray dogs in Korangi, Karachi. Stray dogs roaming on the streets and on the roads in various localities of Korangi are posing a serious threat to dwellers. Many passers-by have been bitten by dogs due to the unchecked increase in their number in residential areas. The absence of street lights has further aggravated the situation as people walking at night often come into contact with these dogs. School going children and adults going to their workplaces or educational institutions are vulnerable to dog-bite as dogs try to chase them and whenever they succeed in their hunt, they leave the victim to get his/her wounds healed after incurring heavy expenses and wasting precious time.
I urge town municipal authorities to initiate a special drive to eliminate the danger caused by stray dogs.
