MCLEAN, VA, US: Javed Chaudhry should consider himself lucky. The other day, US authorities caught a Mr Ahmed (no less) and he has been charged with planning to blow up the Metro in Washington DC. I am a permanent resident of the US, as in I have a ‘green card’ and am allowed to use the ‘US citizens only’ line at Dulles airport in Washington. This, however, makes no difference. I am questioned and finger-printed each time. I plan to visit Pakistan in December. I am already dreading my re-entry into the US.
