Pakistan and pre-revolution France

KARACHI: Marvi Memon’s article “Pakistan and pre-revolution France” (October 27) is well-reasoned and based on reality. The situation in Pakistan is deteriorating every passing day. People have started saying that a French-like revolution in Pakistan is now inevitable. However, I feel that it will not happen. The state of Pakistan today goes in favour of countries like the US, Israel and India because an economically weak government with bad governance and a demoralised population makes for easy picking for other states. Having said that, a revolution may well be good for Pakistan because it may emerge stronger as a result of it.
