Swimming in troubled waters

Letter October 27, 2010
The report “Swimming in troubled waters” should concentrate on swimmers and what they do through months of training.

KARACHI: The report “Swimming in troubled waters” (October 25) should have concentrated on the swimmers and what they were trying to do through months of training.

Instead, what one read gave the impression that only negative aspects were worth covering.

The article should have been written to motivate others on how hard work and dedication can win gold medals. Instead, the writer chose to focus on what he said was a dearth of swimming pools in Karachi and claiming that swimming is only for a privileged few.
