PPP’s performance (II)

Letter February 20, 2014
Under such circumstances, such luxurious celebrations are pathetic and only seem to be a political stunt.

KARACHI: The Sindh government has spent billions of rupees of the taxpayers’ money in the name of the Sindh Festival, which, in my opinion, is quite ridiculous. While the very big majority of the people of Sindh, and in fact, the whole country, is facing grave issues of poverty, joblessness, lawlessness, corruption, targeted killings, non-availability of proper education and health facilities, even lack of drinking water, our elite is busy in useless activities.

Under such circumstances, such luxurious celebrations are pathetic and only seem to be a political stunt to divert the attention of the common people from real issues. Mr Rumi may be happy seeing such celebrations, but the majority of the people of Pakistan do not approve of such wastage of time and resources.
