There are no point buses available in the evening shift to drop students home after 7pm.
KARACHI: I am a student of the University of Karachi who attends classes in the evening shift. I want to share a problem which needs to be solved by the university administration. The problem is that there are no point buses available in the evening shift to drop students home after 7pm even though students of the morning shift are able to avail of this. Why are evening shift students not provided this facility?
This is despite the fact that the fees for evening shift classes are much higher than those for morning shift classes. How come important facilities are for the morning shift students only? Through your newspaper, I want to highlight this major problem because a lot of students live far away from the university and at night it is often too dangerous for female students to wait at bus stops owing to the volatile situation of the city. Sometimes, even the street lights are not switched on. I hope the university administration can take steps to address these concerns.
