PCB’s financial woes

Letter February 14, 2014
If Pakistan had been playing at home, it would generate revenues close to what English, Australian boards generate.

LAHORE: This is apropos the article by Emmad Hameed “Throwing a cricket tantrum” (February 11). I believe that the only reason for the current pathetic financial condition of the Pakistan Cricket Board is that the national team does not play any international cricket at home.

If Pakistan had been playing at home, it would have generated revenues close to what the English and the Australian boards generate these days. Until that happens, Pakistan cricket will continue facing financial trouble.
