We should realise that world is a global village, it is not lobbyists who make the rounds, but image of a country.
NIDDERAU, GERMANY: This is with reference to Lamia Zia’s article of February 14 “Pakistan’s representation on the Hill”. In the good old days, we all used to get information about distant lands from newspapers. However, we should now realise that the world is now a global village and it is not the lobbyists who make the rounds, but the image of a country.
On this count, Pakistan clearly suffers in Washington as it has a poor image. Read any newspaper or watch any television report, we only get negative news from Pakistan. Killing of innocent people seem to be a daily occurrence. The reports are about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear installations and about the persecution of non-Muslims and women.
