KARACHI: It’s very disappointing to see senior citizens wait in the queue outside the National Saving Centre in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The way they are disrespected in Pakistan is appalling. These citizens have devoted their lives to Pakistan, the least we can do is give them the respect they deserve. Perhaps a more convenient system could be introduced for them such as online banking.
Admittedly, the National Saving Centre offers high rate of profits to senior citizens on savings but that does not mean that they can cause inconvenience for them. Our religion and culture urges us to respect our elders, we should keep that in mind at all times.
