Coke Studio: messing with success

Letter January 18, 2014
The beauty of Coke Studio was the harmony that was created among local musicians, instrumentalists and singers.

TORONTO: This is apropos the story “Has Rohail Hyatt fizzled out from Coke Studio?” (January 16). I believe that one should not mess with success. Coke Studio and its musicians were doing a fabulous job until Season 5, but messing with its format, along with employing disjointed music with foreign musicians working in isolation has been a complete failure.

The beauty of Coke Studio was the harmony that was created among local musicians, instrumentalists and singers. Adding foreign artists has degraded Coke Studio.
