KARACHI: This is apropos the story “Future planning: K-P conceives first population policy draft” (January 12). A plan to control our demographics is also needed for Sindh and Punjab. That Imran Khan is actually worried about demographic factors is good to know, as is the fact that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has produced a professional plan for it.
Are the Sharifs and the Bhuttos worried about demographic factors in Punjab and Sindh? It does not seem to be the case. Given the positive steps that the PTI has taken in K-P in terms of governance, it is clear that we need the party to head the federal government too.
