Government should announce that it will bestow top awards for valour to both Chaudhry Aslam and Aitzaz Hasan.
KARACHI: Not a day goes by when the blood of our policemen is not spilled on the streets of Karachi. If not dealt with properly, it can become a death knell for the morale of our police force. The terrorists who killed SP CID Chaudhry Aslam must have planned and reconnoitered the area for many weeks and this would have exposed the inherent weaknesses of the police’s intelligence system. That is precisely also why the cruel attack warrants a strong and decisive response from the government and its law-enforcement agencies. Moreover, the government should announce that it will bestow top awards for valour to both Chaudhry Aslam and Aitzaz Hasan for their exemplary gallantry. The whole nation salutes their valour and sacrifice.
