Building nuclear reactors (III)

Letter January 08, 2014
We are talking of a nuclear wasteland in case of an accident or malfunction.

CHICAGO: All the arguments presented by the writer may be valid but who is going to assume the liability in case of equipment failure and deaths? In the India-US nuclear deal, there is no progress because equipment manufacturers want to dodge the liability clauses.

Pakistan has even less bargaining leeway with China to make this kind of demand. We are talking of a nuclear wasteland in case of an accident or malfunction. That is not something to be trifled with.
