Mathira has been fighting stereotypes, and this is maybe why people in Pakistan don’t like her.
KARACHI: I don’t understand what all the fuss is regarding Mathira. There is an uproar on the video of her new song “Jhoota” and some people are saying it borders on the pornographic. What I appreciate most about her is that throughout her professional career, Mathira has been fighting stereotypes, and this is maybe why people in Pakistan — which is a male-dominated society — don’t like her.
Hats off to you Mathira, you are truly a superwoman of Pakistan.
