Catch and expose Karachi’s killers

Letter October 20, 2010
The violence in Karachi with at least 32 dead in the past 24 hours is becoming a weekly bloody game.

LAHORE: The violence in Karachi — with 32 dead at least, in the past 24 hours — is becoming a weekly bloody game. The lives of millions of people are being affected and no one in the government seems to be willing to catch those behind the disturbances.

As for the political parties, they are unable, or unwilling, to cleanse their ranks of criminal elements. The government and its intelligence agencies must know — to some extent, at least —  who all are involved but they also refuse to act.

As for the media, why doesn’t it expose and name all those involved in the violence? Isn’t this the least that it should do so that viewers can be provided with accurate information?
