The dangers of cosmetic surgery

Letter December 18, 2013
People are throwing away their money to get these useless treatments, which result in nothing but fake looks.

RAWALPINDI: In this busy life, where everyone seems to be running a rat race, physical perfection and beauty are placed at the highest rung on the ladder of life. Cosmetics industry, beauty parlors, beauty products and plastic surgery clinics are doing tremendous business. Fashion mania is getting more and more popular. Like the rest of the world, the number of people opting for cosmetic surgery in Pakistan for aesthetic reasons is soaring every day. In Pakistan, several hospitals and many salons cater to these superficial beauty needs, sketching and reshaping human forms. People are throwing away their money to get these useless treatments, which result in nothing but fake looks. We request the authorities to ban the use of cosmetic surgery for aesthetic preferences in Pakistan.
