Signal crossing with Khayaban-e-Mujahid witnesses traffic mess due to encroachment by the legislator’s tent, vehicles.
KARACHI: A high profile Member of the National Assembly (MNA) lives on the main Khayaban-e-Shujaat road in Karachi. Ever since his party came to power six years ago, a tent was established outside his residence covering a part of the road in order to maintain security for the said MNA. The signal crossing with Khayaban-e-Mujahid witnesses a traffic mess daily due to the encroachment on the road by the legislator’s tent and his personal vehicles parked on the road.
Moreover, visitors to his house almost daily park their SUVs and other government and private vehicles on both sides of the road, further narrowing the track and causing a bottleneck on both tracks of Khayaban-e-Shujaat. It is requested that the MNA, who seems to spend more time in Islamabad than in Karachi, consider the convenience of the citizens and remove his tent and illegal parking.
