Is it not the job of food inspectors to carry out checks on places that sell food on a commercial basis?
KARACHI: On December 6, at about 8pm I bought two faluda dishes from a food outlet at the Dolmen Mall in Karachi’s Clifton neighbourhood. Both glasses contained frozen stale faluda and far from sipping through a straw, we were unable to even eat it with a spoon. I returned both the glasses to the attendant at the outlet and also lodged a complaint on their comment card. I also tried to email the management of the outlet at the address posted on the comment card but the email bounced back saying no such email address existed.
I am surprised how a reputable place allows its restaurants to serve such food, which could be injurious to people’s health. Is it not the job of food inspectors to carry out checks on places that sell food on a commercial basis?
