Narendra Modi and Pakistan (II)

Letter December 07, 2013
We have lived with this belligerence for the last 65 years and can live another 100 years in the same manner.

TOPEKA, KANSAS, USA: It does not really matter if India does not treat Pakistan with any generosity as Pakistan does not need any generosity from that country. If any negotiation makes it feasible for both countries to live in peace, then that is fine. If not, Pakistan will never succumb to Indian bellicosity.

Kashmir is a disputed area and is recognised by the international community as such. India could never subjugate the Kashmiris perpetually and eventually, it will have to come to terms with this and grant Kashmiris their right of self-determination.

What happened in 1971 can never be repeated again because this time around, Pakistan has the capability to defend its territory from Indian aggression. Indians can be as belligerent as they want to be towards Pakistan. We have lived with this belligerence for the last 65 years and can live another 100 years in the same manner.
