Government should take action to ensure that proper equipment is provided at check posts, all vehicles are checked.
ISLAMABAD: There are many check posts on almost every main road of Islamabad. These security check posts are for our own security, we are told. The authorities tell us that the abundance of these check posts is due to the security risks the capital faces. However, if that is the case I wonder why these security check posts are not provided with metal detectors and why policemen cannot check vehicles which enter the capital from the adjoining areas of the city.
The government should take action to ensure that proper equipment is provided at the check posts and that all vehicles are checked before being allowed to pass through. Every vehicle entering lslamabad should be screened.
